The Museum of the World Ocean invites you to follow the routes of the legendary Vityaz and enter the world of its incredible discoveries.

This is only one single exhibit that will make you feel as a pioneer! There will be a new artifact at the saloon on the R/V Vityaz that is going to inform you about the most remarkable discoveries by the vessel of science. It seems to be a regular map but you’ll spot special areas marked on it: mid-ocean ridges, underwater mounts, rift zones and deep trenches named after Vityaz.

Looking at the map, visitors learn the objects in the World Ocean as well as the discoveries by the R/V Vityaz and which ones were named after the vessel or after researchers who worked on board it.

The opening takes place at the saloon on the R/V Vityaz at 4 pm on March 19.
